The Ministry of Financial Services and Good Governance was established in December 2014 with a view to giving a new impetus to the financial services sector which is a key sector of our economy and has a huge potential for growth. Besides the promotion of financial services, this Ministry provides guidance and support for the enforcement of good governance practices in order to restore the national values in Mauritius through the eradication of fraud, corruption, malpractices and irregularities in all aspects of public life.
The Ministry also provides training, knowledge and resources on good governance to promote its advocacy and practice. Additionally, the Ministry supports government agencies in their objectives of being productive, transparent, accountable, efficient and customer friendly.
